Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (2001)

Resident Evil (2002)

Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (2003)

Killer 7 (2005)

Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (2005)

Contact (2006)

Electroplankton (2006)

Fallout 3 (2008)

Dragon Age: Origins (2009)

And this doesn’t really count as the game doesn’t even come in a box,
but Braid (2008)

Can’t disagree with any of these. The only thing that bugs me a bit about the REmake cover is the text, which seems out of place and slapped on. Not that I can think of a better replacement, but I remember having to convince a friend that the reason the box was awesome was because it was essentially showing an in game screenshot.

Some good choices, but for some of the games mentioned I prefer the European versions. (Killer 7 and Resident Evil)

ico’s european boxart is great, much better than the travesty visited upon those of us in north america.

    euro –
    Ico Europe

    NA –
    Ico US

What does the Euro box for REmake look like? I love the RE4 box, but I don’t think I’ve seen REmake’s.

The Braid one is great I think. As well as the European Ico one. Another series with box covers that I like is Shenmue. Except the Xbox version of Shenmue II then. And Shadow of the Colossus also oozes atmosphere.

Hi, the cover of the european ICO-reRelease is still the same. Only the packaging material changed from cardstock into the classical PS2 pvc (plastic) case.(2006 release year) although, the US cover is good for cosplay reference.
